Indonesian Gold Mine in Berau, East Kalimantan

Apart from Papua's Gold mine that has been contracted by Freeport until the year 2040 (damned!), Indonesia still has gold resource located on the Segah river, Berau, East Kalimantan (Borneo).

The form of gold obtained in Berau is different from other regions. The shape is not a flake, but a small chunk. Ttraditional tribes here mining gold with strict rules because they are very concerned with the nature. Chemicals banned here because it could dsrupt the life of Dayak tribes downstream. If there is a violation, they will be expelled from the community.

It's the gold!
chunk, big one!
