Bali has a selection of waterfalls that are fun to visit. For many people the idea of hiking through the jungle to a hidden waterfall and taking a cooling swim is the image of paradise. These places definitely exist and here are some useful tips of how to find them and what to expect. Waterfalls are sharp drops along the course of a river. You will often have to hike up or down a river for a certain way to get to a waterfall, but the river provides a route for you to follow.

Rivers flow best during and immediately after the wet season, During that time you can expect waterfalls to be pumping and the pools at the bottom to be at their deepest. You can also expect more debris including rocks and the occasional log to come over the waterfall. Wet season means cloudy days in the highlands especially and after getting a soaking from the rain, the cold mountain water can be quite a shock. Bathing in a waterfall during the wet season may not feel like tropical paradise at first. During the dry season the weather is better, sunny and dry. However water flow is way less and pools will be shallow

The waterfall it self is not really that high. Only approximately 10-15metres high. Cemented pathway, but quite steep to climb up back to the parking area.

During the holiday season this place also visited by many local tourists around Gianyar, Denpasar and Klungkung. Each visitor entrance fee is cheap. Just Rp.4,000 for adults and Rp 2,000 for children.Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17129050443780353045noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8204636204133061581.post-9688358766969315872011-12-07T23:12:00.000+07:002011-12-11T23:49:34.776+07:00Tanah Lot Nice Wallpapers and Story

Tanah Lot, one of the most popular places of interest in Bali, is located on the coast of West Bali, at the village of Beraban in the Tabanan Regency. It is also called Tanah Let which means ancient land and also Tanah Lod, which means the land to the south. The temple Pura Tanah Lot, simple in its construction, is dramatic in its ocean-front location and is one of the main temples in the worship of Balinese gods.

Tanah Lot has a long history in the world of tourism. The temple itself is built on a small promontory which is only accessible at low tide. During high water the rock takes on the appearance of a large boat at sea, such is its shape. Poisonous snakes live in the nearby caves to 'guard' the temple and contribute to the temple's dangerous reputation. Sunset is the best time to visit Tanah lot, when the golden red skies frame the temple and waves crash into the rocks. It is advisable to avoid the tourist crush here as it can be severe.

Tanah Lot, Bali is known as the best place to watch the scenery sunset (sunset) inBali. Especially if you watch through the high cliffs that are also occupied by small restaurants there. The best time to visit this place is between the hours of 17:00 to 18:30 pm.

Pura Tanah Lot is one of the largest sacred temple on the island of Bali. Here are alsooften held ceremonies of Hindus in Bali. In addition to a very large place and thescenery is very spectacular sunset, the waves around the temple area is also the main attraction.

For your domestic tourists who want to go into tourist areas will be subject to cost around Rp 20,000 per person. For foreign tourists the entry fee be doubled. Along theroad from the starting gate entrance to the temple area will be found a wide range of diverse merchandise, from t-shirts, necklaces, statues and so forth until, of course, places to eat.

The location to go to Tanah Lot, Bali, not far from Kuta or Denpasar. Such as Kuta Beach, usually Tanah Lot is the final destination for travelers after a day visiting a variety of other interesting sights.
Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17129050443780353045noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8204636204133061581.post-24218492578035619632011-12-06T23:22:00.001+07:002011-12-11T23:49:34.013+07:00Gunung Kawi Temple Bali

Situated at Tampak Siring village, the ancient Gunung Kawi monument was built for the first time in 11th century. There are several stairs to be climbed by every visitor before reaching the site. Across the river you will find two rows of monuments sculptured on the rocky stone wall, illustrating the younger brother of King Erlangga named Anak Wungsu. The Gunung Kawi monument is a prominent site which becomes an interesting site for students or archaeologists. The consecution in eastside Pekerisan River is consisted of 5 units and the consecution at west side of river is 5 units, in the north is 4 units and 1 unit is located far in south side separate from the others. On the above of the temple consecution in particular to the Eastside River, there is an article of Kediri word type sounding ‘Haji Lumahing Jalu'. Haji means a king, the Lumah means a temple or Sidha Dewata means to return to the nature of deity and Ing Jalu means in Pekerisan. The Jalu mean the Keris literal. The Ulun Danu temple is located on the crater lake Bratan in Tabanan area, on the island Bali, Indonesia. This very important Hindu-Buddhist temple was founded in the 17th century. It is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of the waters, and is actually built on small islands, which means it is completely surrounded by the lake. The temple is truly beautiful, with classical Hindu thatch-roofed meru (multiroofed shrines) reflected in the water and silhouetted against the often cloudy mountain backdrop - one of the most common photographic images of Bali.
This gemlike temple is half on the mainland, half on a tiny island. The complex is dedicated to Vishnu, the preserver, in his guise as Dewi Danu, who protects all living creatures. Small and charming, it comments on the spirit of place without leaving a big footprint. A peaceful, shimmering vision.

The serenity which pervades in the cold, misty lake of Bratan belies the violent temperament of the Batur volcano where it sits. In 1917, a strong eruption devastated the village of Batur but the lava miraculously stopped at the foot at the temple. The next eruption in 1926 was not so kind and buried the entire temple except the highest shrine. Soon after, the surviving shrines were taken to higher ground and rebuilt in its present location.Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17129050443780353045noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8204636204133061581.post-41711155370002676022007-07-30T09:26:00.000+07:002011-12-11T23:49:34.153+07:00Tanah Lot, amazing temple at BaliTanah Lot is one of the famous temple in Bali. Sunset is the favorite time to visit this isolated temple on the West coast.

Tanah Lot means 'Land in the Middle of the Sea' in Balinese language. Located about 20 km from Denpasar, the temple sits on a huge offshore rock which has been shaped continously over the years by the ocean tide.

Tanah Lot is said to be the work of the 16th century priest Niratha. The story goes that during his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island's beautiful setting and rested there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts. Niratha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods.

The Tanah Lot temple was then built and has been an important part of Balinese mythological history for centuries. The temple is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. It was said that each of the sea temples was to be within eyesight of the next so that they formed a chain along the south-western coast.

At the base of the rocky island, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders. There is said to be one giant snake which also protects the temple. It is believed that this snake was created from Niratha’s scarf when he established the island.
Adminhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17129050443780353045noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8204636204133061581.post-70212775009910873082007-07-26T00:05:00.000+07:002011-12-11T23:49:34.405+07:00Tanah Lot, BaliTanah Lot is beautiful temple which build at 16C.
