komodo dragon
Label:
Knowledge
The Komodo dragon, native to Indonesia, is the largest living lizard in the world. In the wild large adults tend to weigh around 70kg (154 pounds). Captive specimens often weigh more. The largest verified specimen was 3.13 metres (10 feet 3 inches) long and weighed 166kg (365 pounds), including undigested food.
Their prey is wide ranging, and includes wild pigs, goats, deer, and water buffaloes. In the wild they have also been observed to eat other smaller dragons. Occasionally they have been known to eat humans and human corpses. The serrations along their teeth are an ideal niche for over 50 strains of bacteria. If the initial bite does not kill the prey, and it escapes, the deadly infections caused by the bacteria living in the dragon's teeth kill the prey within a week.
The Komodo dragon is an endangered species (appx. there are 6000) and is found on the IUCN Red List.
Komodo National Park in Indonesia includes three larger islands Komodo, Rinca and Padar. The islands are of volcanic origin. Within its area there are living about 4000 inhabitants. In 1991 the national park was accepted as World Heritage by the UNESCO.

If you visit bali, having dinner at beach is a must. Almost the entire beach are restaurants and they all sell fresh seasfood.
The entrie meal including drinks for 6 people and 1 kid was Rp 800,000, $90 USD, or around $110 AUD. This probably the most expensive meal of your trip but satisfying is guaranteed.

Bali Tennis Tournament
Label:
News
This event previously known as Wismilak International Bali SE-WTA Tour, but since Commonwealth Bank become the main sponsor, they change the name to Commonwealth Tennis Classic. So, to be fair both for new sponsor, previous sponsor, and the readers, i call it Bali Tennis Tournament. Thats easier to recognice.
Wismilak become main sponsor for 13 years before Commonwealth Bank take it's place. I don't know why but i guess it caused by Wismilak bussiness condition recently. Oke, OTT is over.
This tournament will be held on september, 9-17 at Nusa Dua, Bali. The winner will get $225,000.00. Players bellow already listed as participant : Alicia Molik (AUS), Flavia Penneta (ITA), Jie Zheing (CHN), Michaella Krajicek (NED), Francesca Schiavone (NED), Patty SChnyder (SUI), Daniela Hantuchova (SVK), Nadia Petrova (RUS), dan Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS). Another player will follow. (you can visit HERE to know more about Tennis)
If you wanna visit Indonesia, mainly Bali, don't forget to watch this game. Make sure you already have hotel room cause by that time, finding nice hotel room will be difficult.
